Why we put the answers before the call
Most people ring a locksmith knowing one thing: they cannot get in. Everything after that is a guess. What does it cost, how long does it take, does the lock come off the door or stay on it. So we wrote the answers down in plain language and put them on this page, where you can read them before you dial. Nothing here is a sales pitch. It is the same explanation a technician would give you standing on your driveway, only you get to read it first and decide in your own time.
If you read one of these and still are not sure which job you need, that is fine. Call 469-300-5525 and describe what is in front of you. Half the work of a good call is just naming the problem correctly, and these guides are here to help you do that.
How to get the most out of a guide
Start with the situation, not the service name. If it is a car, you want the car key and transponder pages. If you have just taken the keys to a new place, read the checklist for moving in. If you are weighing up keeping the hardware against buying new, the rekey or replace comparison walks through it scenario by scenario. Read the one that matches you, then look at the locksmith FAQ for the short answers, and the services pages for what a visit actually involves.
Then write down the two or three things from the guide that apply to you and read them out when you call. That is the whole point of this page: fewer questions on the phone, and a technician who turns up already knowing what the job is.
